Our school's 13th annual RISE UP fundraiser, hosted by our Auxiliary Board, was held on Thursday, October 5th at the District Brew Yards in Chicago's West Town neighborhood. Over 130 guestsenjoyed a fun night featuring pour your own craft beer and tasty BBQ from Lillie's Q. Over $40,000 was raised for our college counseling and alumni persistence programs.Thank you to all who attended and supported our successful event, including our amazing sponsors.
More than just a great party, the proceeds from RISE UP provide the resources our students need to succeed in college and beyond. The Class of 2023 was CTK's 12th consecutive graduating class with 100% college acceptance! Your support allows CTK to maintain a robust college counseling program, which includes alumni persistence staffing and resources. Our students need your support now more than ever.
At this year's event, Brittany Williams, the valedictorian of CTK’s first graduating class in 2012 and a Southern Illinois University graduate spoke about her time at CTK. She especially valued her Corporate Work Study Program experience which helped put her in a position to be successful in her nursing career. She now works for Advocate Medical Group North Clark as a Clinical Nursing Supervisor overseeing Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, and the Immediate Care Center.
