Meet our Students

One of the salient characteristics of a Jesuit school is the "Graduate at Graduation" statement that sets forth goals and characteristics that a graduate of a Jesuit High School should attain by graduation.  There are five characteristics shared amongst all Jesuit High Schools: Religious, Intellectually Competent, Open to Growth, Loving and Committed to Justice. Christ the King has one additional trait -- Seasoned, Responsible Worker to reflect the unique nature of the school.

Portrait of a CtK Student: Reagan is... Open to Growth

What does being at CtK mean to you? What is your favorite part?

[I like] the work experience and the challenges.  You don't really find many 14-year-olds going to work and having that experience.  It might open my eyes to something new that I might actually like.

What does the "Open to Growth" quality of the Grad-at-Grad mean to you?

To me, it means always having an open mind.  If you don't try, you're never going to get it.  It is not always going to be easy.  But the more you try, the more you grow in the process.

How have you changed since coming to CTK?

I have been more open-minded.  In grade school I was sort of timid about trying new things.  The whole environment-- whether it's the work or the teachers - it makes me want to try new things.

Thoughts on the Corporate Work-Study Program:

I meet a lot of people every time I go to work because I work in outpatient registration.  It's a really good experience because when I get older, I want to be a vet.  I know it doesn't relate, but just to be in a medical field...
