Meet our Students

One of the salient characteristics of a Jesuit school is the "Graduate at Graduation" statement that sets forth goals and characteristics that a graduate of a Jesuit High School should attain by graduation.  There are five characteristics shared amongst all Jesuit High Schools: Religious, Intellectually Competent, Open to Growth, Loving and Committed to Justice. Christ the King has one additional trait -- Seasoned, Responsible Worker to reflect the unique nature of the school.

How did you decide to come to CtK?

I wanted the safe environment...  I wanted to experience the job-- I had never been in the corporate setting.  It helped me and my mother.  I'm an only child and I knew it was going to help us.

What does being at CtK mean to you? What is your favorite part?

The job experience... and I like the way they manage to work in religion in everything we do.  We do a five-minute prayer every morning.  I'm not Catholic but I was interested in learning about the faith and that's why I like that they are teaching us about it.

How have you changed since coming to CTK?

I have better time management.  They made me study better; and I am closer to God - they helped me to do that... motivation to work.  I'm going to work hard at my school and everything-- make it pay off.

What's your favorite experience since being at CtK?

The experience I enjoyed the most here was performing in the Drama Club's "Everything" by Lifehouse.  It really sent a message to teenagers and adolescents my age because in the play it talked about the temptations that separate you from God.  This play really inspires me because it encouraged me to go out and tell people this is what you're supposed to be doing.  There's a better way-- there's God, there's school, there's education.  And these are things that they don't think about, but when they do, there's such a warmth.
