Academic Support
CtK Students are expected to study every school night for at least two hours reviewing the material from the day and preparing their assignments for the next school day. Students are expected to use all available resources to enhance their education (teachers, tutors, academic support staff, libraries, etc.)
Homework JUG
Any student who fails to complete and submit his or her homework or class work for a class may be given a referral by the teacher to Homework JUG for that afternoon from 3:10 to 5 p.m. If a referral is given, the student is required to bring all of his or her work to the library on the same day at 3:10 p.m., complete, and submit the missed work for at least some credit. Students must bring their Student Planners with them each day, and the proctor will monitor student progress.
Academic Probation
Students with most recent semester GPA below 1.67, or 2 or more current grades below a C- are put on Academic Probation for that semester. Students on Academic Probation may be assigned to report to Homework JUG daily at the discretion of the Assistant Principal for Academics. Assignments to Daily Homework JUG will be communicated in a timely fashion to students and parents/guardians. Duration of daily Homework JUG assignments will be determined by the Assistant Principal for Academics.
