Christ the King Jesuit college prep Catholic School on Chicago's West side and a member of the Cristo Rey network challenge Shannon swyers its young women and men through the integration of academics work experience and extracurricular activities to lead lives of Integrity faith servant leadership for the greater glory of God  Christ the King is more than a school I feel like Christ the King as muscle second home in here I couldn't have gotten anywhere else  the king is one who can the heart work our students they're working to fund their own education  play music you know I love the work-study program the young people are terrific they had a level of energy and secondly actually do real work I feel like Christ the King prepare me for college matches academically but is a person as well idea College acceptance is not unknown here at Christ the King is more of the norm is expected for us to apply to contrasting a year and relevant college and stay in college we have different traits that are expected of all the students who go here open to growth religious loving intellect competent work experience and committed to Justice I think Christ the King challenge the students but the support is there to make sure that everybody has the ability to achieve their goals have a substantial financial aid program where students have access to resources that are able to meet their financial need. Families make the sacrifice go to come here because ultimately they know that they're going to be a changed person when they leave here and they're going to be empowered to make their Community a better place
