Tuition, Fees & Financial Aid

Christ the King is committed to making a rigorous, Jesuit, college prep education affordable for every student, regardless of a family’s ability to pay. While it costs approximately $16,800 to educate each CTK student this school year, our families pay an average of $950 toward the full cost of education thanks to generous scholarship assistance.

Through a standard formula, CTK determines a family’s ability to pay. CTK and the family then jointly structure a plan to provide an affordable education for each student. During the financial aid application process, families should:
  • Submit financial documentation regarding their household income and household size
  • Apply for the Illinois Tax Credit Scholarship Program

Based on that information, CTK applies scholarship funds on an individual family basis to cover the difference between the full cost of education and the amount each family can pay. Scholarship funds are derived from a variety of sources, including the Corporate Work Study Program, third-party scholarships, state tax credit scholarship programs, donor-supported fundraising and foundation grants. After applying scholarship funds based on individual family circumstances for the school year, every CTK family is paying between $50 and $260 per month for their student’s education.

Once a student applies, has been accepted, and completes the financial aid application, we will apply scholarship funds based on their individual circumstances. Family will be notified of their financial responsibility to the school for the coming school year within one week after completing the financial aid application. Families may also apply for adjustments to the award during the school year if financial circumstances change (reduction in hours, loss of job, medical emergencies, etc.).
